Hi All,
My Lumo and DeepSeek apps stopped working after the latest GrapheneOS update. The alert window prompts to check if Google Play is enable on my device. Both apps were working with no issues before. Anyone is having similar issues? Thanks

I tried to reinstall the apps and it didn't fix the issue. Its was most likely the latest GrapheneOS update that caused the issue since the apps had no recent updates before they started crashing on the GOS.

Proton Lumo works perfectly fine for me. However, I use the version that does not contain Play Services. It's up-to-date (1.5.1) and can be found here:

Deepseek 2.1.2 works OK here with OS 2026060101

Edit : update Deepseek 2.1.3 still OK

NetRunner88 Unfortunately it didn't work for me, v2.1.2 (218) gives me the same problem.
Edit: v2.1.1 (216) works!

So what are the safest way to install apps on GOS? I use their AppStore, Obtaneum, Accrescent, F-droid and Aurora.

Just saying, GrapheneOS updates very regularly, so everything can be said to happen after an update. I don't think it's likely that something about the latest update broke any apps.

The Play Store is capable of injecting code into the apps that make it check if it was installed from the Play Store (this works for a lot of apps since the Play Store encourages app developers to let the Play Store handle signing the apps), and either more app developers are opting in to this behavior or Google is starting to do it more automatically. Therefore, later versions of an app can start having this injected code.

Aurora Store downloads apps from the Play Store / Google servers, so the injected versions will be installed from there too.

Play App Signing is required for all new apps since August 2021. The injected code checkbox is enabled by default, and is opt out for the developer.
