I'm having this problem with the system's default dialer app.
The Problem
The app stopped showing the incoming calls.
- If the screen is turned off, the phone rings as normal, but the screen doesn't turn on. The expected behaviour is to turn the screen on and show me the incoming call.
- If the screen is turned on, similarly, the phone rings but no incoming call is shown anywhere. Neither does it show a notification.
Other than that, everything else works. I can use the app to make calls and if the call is missed it shows the "You missed you call" notification.
What Caused This?
Ever since i temporarily switched to Fossify Phone (temporarily because i realised call recording was specific to the system's dialer app, so i switched back),
Is This Specific To The System's Dialer App?
Must be, right? Using the Fossify Phone app doesn't give me this problem at all.
What I've Tried
- Clearing Cache and Data from the dialer app
- Uninstalling and going back to the system default apps for SMS and Contacts
- Restarting my device (multiple times, and after doing the things i'm listing here)
- Giving all permissions required by the app (including all notifications)
