Help with 5G for DIGI Portugal

Hi,

I'm new to Graphene OS so i apologize if this was already asked and answered by another user, but i did not found anything with the search function or on any search engine.

I recently migrated to Graphene, on my Pixel9a, and everything works well except 5G.

My current cell provider is DIGI Portugal, and although i see the option to select 5G (either 5G only or 5G + LTE), no matter what option i select, i cant get 5G reception. The phone is stuck at LTE.
Can anyone help me with this?
Is there an configuration or an option i need to toggle that i'm no aware of?

I tried select 5G (says recommended), reboot and still only get LTE. Did the same for 5G + LTE, and also only got LTE.

i'm on the latest stable release (build 2026052400).
I use a physical nano sim (that was working on stock Google's Android).
I do not have any Carrier setting overrides active.

5G reception was not a problem with stock Android btw.

Pixel_tuga I do not have any Carrier setting overrides active.

If it were me, I would try that.

Hello!

The APN Network type has to have NR added in as well.

Screenshot your current APN and then recreate an exact copy except -- this time -- add in NR for network type.

Save it after you're finished, go back to the list of access point names and select your new one.

Getting to APN
Settings > network > SIM > Access point names

At 39 seconds, this appears to be your carrier's APN settings for reference. (Your phone might be more up to date)

Set carrier overrides:
Settings > network > SIM > carrier overrides
2 options:

Option 1 - Copy the defaults but change 5G (Safer for initial testing)

View all of the Defaults for each option (screenshot this page?)
Tap each option and select the same as the default (e.g. Default: available > select available)
- except for 5G capabilities - Set this to available
After you set a manual setting for everything, tap on Enable overrides at the top of the screen.
Turn on airplane mode
Turn off airplane mode

Option 2 - Select anything you want

Tap each option on this page and select whatever you want.
- I assume VoNR / Vo5G is very rare so maybe not this one. It'll affect phone calls
- cross sim calling is concerning 2 SIMs inside the phone
- Set 5G capabilities as available
After you set a manual setting for everything, tap on Enable overrides at the top of the screen.
Turn on airplane mode
Turn off airplane mode

Thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately neither worked :(

I've also tried to just select NR option on the network type and got no data connection.

Even if you are in a large city, maybe there's no coverage in the outskirts where you live. It appears that digi is the 3rd largest 5G provider with about half of the stations than the larger 2 individually.

Sadly it's not that either.

I'm in the middle of the capital and i had 5G reception with pixel's stock OS.
