Hello! I just installed graphene on a pixel 6a and looking to bail on my IOS device. We want to run voip through mysudo. If I 'm reading it correctly I need google play store installed for that to run properly and get notifications. As far as I know that is the only app I need that requires google services. We don't use social media or banking on the phone. Protonmail and protonvpn, maps, music etc is it. It seems like a PIA to switch back and forth if I run sudo/google from a separate profile, with everything else in the primary. I wont get calls or texts while running maps for example.
I guess what I'm not clear on is what is the risks of having google services installed if GOS doesn't use it? I'm trying to go down the road of achieving as much privacy as reasonably possible, which I guess is subjective lol. I plan on porting my current number to either google voice and getting forwarded email transcripts, or porting right through mysudo. I don't want to use the installed sim for anything but data... Is this a good approach? Not sure yet how to handle 2fa except on a service by service basis. If there is another voip service that folks recommend I would be happy to look at that as well. Thank you for any advice.
