Aurora store doesn't work

I get the error "Expected URL scheme 'http' or 'https' but no scheme was found for. I tried everything, disabling vpn, checking I have the latest version, trying to isntall older versions (cannot), I also tried enabling google play service, didnt help. Tried second profile, first. I tried to install it from fdroid store and I get this error "INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE" which makes sense as its a way older version, fdroid lol. I just need aurora store to download whatsapp to open an account, I hate whatsapp but what can you do. (When installing whatsapp apk you cannot open an account, I hate them)

Strange stuff.
I would disable all VPNs & proxies. On the phone, disable any firewalls or adblock or content blockers. You might have other things on the network interfering so try using cell data or another wifi network.

Also worth trying: Uninstall Aurora > Reinstall Aurora. Make sure it's from an official source.

Have you tried the latest version directly from https://auroraoss.com/files (/AuroraStore/Latest or Release)?

I had the same problem a few days ago when I tried to reinstall the Revolut app and it was because of an outdated F-Droid version, if I do remember correctly.

Johnnyloans I think at this point I would just install whatsapp on my friends phone and than using the web version as in general I barely use my phone

Just barely opened aurora?
Searched for WhatsApp?
Pushed install WhatsApp?

If no one finds a solution, might be worth it to factory reset after backing up your pics, messages, contacts, calendar, etc

Try aurora early on before fully customizing your phone to see if it works. Might figure out what step breaks it.

After opening aurora and trying to download an app, any app not just whatsapp. The thing is that I was using the aurora store just a month ago as my main play store (moved to obtanium since) and it never had this problem, it had some problems, sometimes, but nothing crazy.

I mean right now its not worth for me to delete everything just so whatsapp will run her, I will just use one of my friends phone to open an account.

Same here, using grapheneos on a pixel 9a, even tubular and freetube won't work, don't know what's going on, I'll just wait til they fix it

Pixel 8 pro here, Tubular works like a charm.
Maybe the problem is not in the OS itself?

NewPipe also doesn't, this is often when Google changes something at the APIs to prevent users watching videos with other apps than the official YouTube or via Browser.
The developers need time to fix this.

Try deleting aurora store app data + cache, redo aurora startup wizard, then try to install. Sometimes I can't install apps, do that and it fixes. Hope it helps

You can also try force closing the app, and Try clearing the app's cache. too see if that would work.

Kamika242 Go to Settings > Content > Feed and turn on 'Fetch from dedicated feed when available'. That made fetching subscriptions work for me again.

Thx, but no amendment here by this setting. Surprisingly I can watch videos without problems after clicking on a link in a web search and automatic redirection to NewPipe, only inside my channel subscriptions no content is shown.

Kamika242 Forgot to mention you have to quit and restart NewPipe as well. It worked for me.

I ran into the same issue. After logging out from the anonymous account and having it log in again the updates work again for me.
