I don't know who tries to impersonate the GrapheneOS Foundation, all I know is that it's not a way to make a long-lasting business based on quality and trust that does not get sued for their second breakfast. Also, the plan is to offer more than just smartphones with GrapheneOS pre-installed, but also products utilising other systems and developed by different groups of people. Trying to impersonate someone from GrapheneOS Foundation or claiming to be closely affiliated with it would therefore make no sense.
Claiming any affiliation with GrapheneOS would certainly not be any part of the strategy here. Every customer would be constructively informed before purchase about benefits and potential drawbacks of using a device with GrapheneOS pre-installed, basic support would be offered as an option with pre-made guides in the local language for configuring the device to one's use-case, everything based on the official GrapheneOS' documentation. Products would not ever use the branding of GrapheneOS, they would only claim to include that system pre-installed. The pricing would also not be as imbalanced as some other sellers like it to be. If the plan is to enter, it's better to enter seriously and pro-consumer. It's not about being a predator on the market, but about delivering good and worth mentioning service that has a chance to remain and hold strong.
Monthly donations to GrapheneOS are certainly planned, since funding GrapheneOS' development would be of best interest not only to the store and the technological landscape, but also for the general society. Those donations would start realistically low at the beginning of the store's existence, since first months of the business would be rather focused on trying to grow the potential for revenue as well as the popularity of the cause, which is digital privacy, open choice and cybersecurity with a blog and general guides in the local language, as well as waiting for the reputation to grow through one of the platforms the store would be utilising for sale (later potentially offering the products through both that platform and the store's official website). That doesn't change the fact that supporting GrapheneOS financially would be in the best interest of the store and is considered crucial for the strategy.
