Phone call and SMS notification without Google services

Hi, is it possible to receive phone calls and SMS notifications without installing google services? I just want the phone to ring when someone is calling me - I will have a physical SIM installed. The phone will not be connected to the Internet.

Using carrier calls and SMS doesn't require sandboxed Google play.

Thanks for the confirmation. That's what I thought as even dumb phones without any Internet connection provides notification of incoming calls and SMS.

undwersq if you don't connect to internet, your phone won't be receiving system updates, bear that in mind
