Suggestion for when releasing multiple updates in a short period of time

First, huge thx to GOS for keep our phones updated and patched so quickly as always.

However, for those of us with lower threat levels, getting 4 system updates in a week is a bit inconvenience.

Is it possible to implement something somehow in the future so when there are multiple updates in a short period of time, we can opt to just install the last one?

I suggest that you opt out of the alpha/beta channel because there weren't 4 releases to the stable channel this week. There were more releases than normal that didn't reach the stable channel because of major bugs. If you don't want to test these releases then please opt out of them by going to Settings > System > System updates > Release channel

The reason for it was because there was an issue with the previous update--it's abnormal. As another user put it, enroll in alpha/beta updates if you want your phone to be a guinea pig. The update comes to stable in 2-3 days usually anyway.

filastinhurra how do you purpose that the devs forecast that unknown issues that need to be corrected?

You can disable the automatic update service and stick with the most stable version that works for you. I did this, and since then, I haven’t had any issues or headaches with updates that might break something, especially if you’re managing multiple devices for your family. Now, I update manually, and only after a significant amount of time has passed since the last release, so you can be reasonably confident that it’s stable.

You could also disable the System Updater app and then manually enable it once a week to install updates whenever you're ready.
