LibreTorrent not working on GrapheneOS?

Is there anyone that uses LibreTorrent?

I tried to download the Arch Linux ISO and I usually do that by torrent, I downloaded the magnet link and added it but it got stuck on "Retrieving metadata". DHT works because I can see it populate but the downloads do not. I tried to test if I got any connection by adding the magnet link from ipleak.net but it shows no IP as result.
I tried to use the default settings and anonymous mode but no change.

I do not have GPS or Aurora installed so I can't download Flud to test it. BiglyBT hasn't had an update for years so I can't find a working alternative either.

Connected through Mullvad VPN on P8 Pro. The system log does show "E TorrentSession: session error: operation not supported on transport endpoint. Code 95" but besides that I can't find any errors.

Any ideas?

Talking from my own experience with magnets with qBittorrent on Windows; for some reason magnets don't work for me sometimes. I recognize the issue from my own experience. Don't know what causes it but I think I've gotten it to work when I've downloaded the .torrent file (the other option besides magnet is to download .torrent file) and open that with the software. Then it finds all the metadata it needs and I can start downloading

Checked Arch Linux torrent distribution options from https://archlinux.org/download/#bittorrent-download , they have the "Torrent for 2026.05.01" option available.

Doesn't fix the issue beneath, probably for sure, but has gotten me through not having to find an alternate source for the file, or flipping through diagnosing all the things that could be wrong (there was a time I tried!!!)

Most of the time magnets work, but the times it doesn't I've made due with this

I will try the .torrent file but it is weird because all the magnet links created by ipleak don't work either. I usually grab the magnet link if I want to download an ISO. I also like to verify if my IP isn't leaking through my VPN but I don't think that's even possible on GrapheneOS (but I could be wrong!)

I tested the .torrent file. It says downloading but stuck on 0% without network activity

For me both magnet links and torrent files work via Libretorrent on GOS. Places you could look for solutions:

Network permission
VPN Settings
DNS Settings (System and Mullvad)
Router settings

Network permission is enabled.
VPN Settings, I don't know what would block it in Mullvad settings.
System DNS settings system is default, Private DNS is off. Mullvad DNS server is used while connected.
Router settings are not blocking anything

Can't edit my previous message anymore. After some testing the magnet started working and the torrent did too but it is very inconsistent, sometimes they start if I throw away the file and download it again, sometimes they don't. It is the same for .torrent and magnet files.

Now that I retry it again the magnet from ipleak worked for a minute and then stopped working but this time the Arch Linux .torrent file doesn't work at all...

As a very generic tip, always useful for a wide range of applications, I would clean the app's cache if you didn't already.
Also, maybe have a look on your session and start folders, maybe those options are messing with something, somehow?

In the past I used it with mullvad with no issues, I would say the problem is not the VPN (?)

DohnJoe did not work. I even tried to reinstall the app through obtainium (github release). I can't get either the ipleak magnet file or Arch Linux .torrent file.

Network permission is available, file access allowed without storage scopes. Settings are default.

In the logs I can only find one error saying:
"E TorrentSession: session error: operation not supported on transport endpoint. Code 95"

I tried to:

Clear app data and cache
Reinstall the app
Switch VPN servers
Turn DHT off and on
Turn anonymous mode on and off
Shutdown the app and restart
Change ports (random and fixed set)

DHT populates if it is on but I can't get the files to start anymore at all. I only had it work once for several minutes but afterwards it stopped working.
