not-a-rola
I do not say I've seen an acual exaple of qr reCAPTCHA required for buying tickets. In fact, I've not seen the qr reCAPTCHA yet anywhere. However, the pieces are there, and it looks like more of a question of when than if they will come together. There are quite a few service providers who only sell tickets online, or via mobile app. They are especially prevalent in Northern Europe, but I am sure there are other examples. It is not difficult to imagine at all that some of these providers will at some point put google reCAPTCHA on their website.
And of course, this is not the only example of people being forced to subject themselves to proprietary tracking technology in order to access esential services.
