Using GOS (2026042101), Pixel8a. All of this is in an additional user (not Owner).
Note: I specify VoIP below because I cannot confirm the actual phone behavior because I don't use "that side", I'm using data only.
I've tried multiple "VoIP" apps (Signal, Cheogram, Monocles, Conversations) and all get the same thing:
Incoming calls work fine when screen is unlocked but when screen is locked I get the notification (ringing and message showing incoming call from phone#) but I cannot answer the call until I unlock the screen. Then the app's notification has the "answer" option.
- I checked Settings>Apps>Special App Access>Full-screen notifications and these apps are all enabled
- I see >Screen turn-on control but it is empty and I don't see how to add apps to it (here or inside the apps themselves).
- Battery use is set to Unrestricted
Because I get the notification, I don't think this is a GFW issue (?). Notifications work fine when not locked.
Maybe there's something inside Owner settings I should be checking? I don't use any VoIP on any other user besides this (not Owner) user.
Any guidance to other settings that could cause this?
