Screenshots Stopped Working

Hello Peoples

I use a Pixel 10 and have had no trouble taking screenshots in the past. I held down the power button & volume down button at the same time and it worked. However, I tried to take a screenshot today, but the picture is just black. I've spent hours trying to figure it out online, and by trying to see if I could change any settings in my phone and in the camera app, but I haven't been able to sort it. Does anyone have any advice?

I know you probably checked already, but just to be sure, did you check if the app allows you to take screenshots?
You can easily check this taking a screenshot of something else (like the drawer).

Hiya,

I'm an idiot! I've figured out what the issue was. I was trying to take a picture of a web page while using a "private tab". The screenshot worked when I used the web browser without using a "private tab".

That's nice.

You should also be able to use the embedded share function of the browser, you will find the option to take a long screenshot.
I find it better because you can also avoid to share the rest of the phone screen and usually (depending how bad the page has been created) you can cover more content than a normal screenshot.
