eSim management before switching

Hi, I'm a bit confused about the eSim management before switching to GrapheneOS. Searching online I find that I have to uninstall before flash and then reinstall again after but also that the eSim is not wiped and so I can just flash GrapheneOS and on reboot the eSim will be already setup and working. Where is the truth? I've a pixel 8a if that matters.

The "truth" is in the statement above. If you already have an esim installed, it will stay even after flashing GrapheneOS.

By default, GrapheneOS has always shipped with baseline support for eSIM, where users can use any eSIMs installed previously on the device.
