Titan M3 features

Google will launch Pixel 11 line with the Titan M3 and hopefully the bootloader will not be locked.

I don't really know what to expect with that new security chip but since we have a gap of 5 years between the current Titan M2 and M3, there must be important improvements.

We know about the secure Face ID. What else do you think google might incorporate in that chip ?

grayway2 they already offer secure face ID on the pixel 10 series (Titan M2). I am pessimistic about it coming to GrapheneOS, only if they manage to offload it to the Titan M3.

We already have the 2FA + PIN and it's great

My main expectation is a device more secure against AFU exploits (there's no known public exploit of grapheneOS AFU since late 2022) and a strong implementation of a feature that will erase the device after 10 or 20 attempts (something MSAB or Cellebrite will not be capable to bypass just as they can't with the throttling of the Titan M2)

What they are now trying to add is capability to make it work in the dark as well by adding additional hardware. But if they lean in on the software-side too much, it might stay a stock OS exclusive feature

But... that page says:

Face Unlock may be less secure than a strong PIN, pattern or password.

Your phone can be unlocked by someone who looks a lot like you, like an identical sibling.

So it's not clear to me how the "as secure as any other method" judgment was arrived at.
