I think that coincidentally at the same time as switching from iOS to GOS (or trying to) -- something's going wrong with my vision
Anyway -- I'm getting sort of frustrated with the display and am not sure to what extent it's a GOS (configuration) problem... (I've got a Pixel 10)
The screen brightness keeps getting lowered to below what I want. I have "adaptive brightness" enabled and keep adjusting it upwards. I've seen (older) posts saying that it doesn't work very well. Is that still the case?
What is it with this trend for medium grey on light grey for text? (*@#€×¥¥!!).
E.g. messages in Thunderbird go from bold black (unread) to grey (read).
I need/want more contrast (for text). I don't want the whole system to be completely black/white, but when there's text on a light background can I just have it be BLACK?!
I think desktop Thunderbird allows fine-grained config settings, but the Android version just seems to allow light/dark/system styles.
Is there a system (style) setting that can help? As I said -- I don't want the whole system to go extreme contrast (for semi-blind people). Just for text to be clear.
Thanks in advance for any help. And apologies for the grumbling (I'm worried that I might actually be going blind.)
