Clear cached app certificates

Before I knew about the issues with F-Droid, I installed quite a few apps from there, and now I'm trying to switch them over to Obtainium. It's mostly going well, but some apps fail with the error "Conflict [App Name]". From what I can tell, this seems to be because the apps use the same package ID on F-Droid as on other platforms, but use a different signing certificate, and I can't update the same app with a different cert.

Is there any way to clear the saved certificate + package ID? I tried uninstalling the app and rebooting, but that didn't help, and I can't find a setting for it and there doesn't seem to be anything useful online. Maybe I'm misunderstanding though. Any help is appreciated.

Once you uninstall the app, the key signature should be gone, I don't remember there is a cache to clean.

The only possible reason I can think of is that in another profile you have the very same app installed, and this is preventing you from installing it via obtainium.
If this is the case, you should uninstall all instances of the same app first, and reinstall it after (you shouldn't need to reboot).

Do whatever helps you sleep at night but there aren't any glaring issues with fdroid. What youve read has been mostly motivated by an interpersonal quarrel gotten out of hand.

They've been transparent with the changes they've made.
