Google Play store issues

Hi,

When I go to my Play Store account in order to update apps, I see that "the device is not certified by Play Protect"...

Do I have to " solve the problem " (clicking on the button for that)? By the way, I am not able to update the Google apps: when searching, Play Store indicates " error".

That is normal for a GOS phone. You can ignore it.

What apps are you trying to update inside of the play store?

What steps do you do? and what do you see that goes wrong? and is there a more detailed error message?

This is normal. All it means is: GrapheneOS isn't on Google's list of favorite OSes so certain apps that use play integrity might not run on GOS.

Johnnyloans Thank yo to both. Apps are not updating automatically and I do not know why.

I go to Play Store, click on my account (up, right) and then chose "manage apps" (I do not the terms in English). Instead of showing, for example, available updates for 6 apps, it shows "error".

Apps: YouTube, WhatsApp, Google Maps... Etc.

I could update them searching them on Play Store. There, the option " update" appears.

What do I have to do to be sure that the apps will update automatically?

I'd do this:

Under play store app info, check battery background usage and background data usage. I'd also check storage then clear app cache.

Maybe your wifi is set to metered connection. Not sure if getting close to your cell data warning affects it.

Play store > settings > network preferences might be set to WiFi only. Not sure how often play store checks for updates but maybe youre not on wifi that much or not connected to the internet for lengths of time.

Also keep in mind, the play store might be "smart" and install today's updates in the middle of the night for you.

Yes, for battery usage:
I have that enabled and then I select "optimized" (not unrestricted)

For background data, I have allow background usage. (Odd, this section is called background mobile & wifi data. But then the toggle for allow background data only talks about mobile data. Eh, try it anyway and send it! )

And yes... I only use eSIM data. No WiFi. But updates with "data" is enabled.
