Screen rotates 90 degrees when zooming in Camera App.

Something switched in the Camera App where when you try to zoom in the screen suddenly flips 90 degrees and the screen doesn't track properly.
The Camera App used to work fine, but suddenly one day it went crazy. Any clues on how to get my old camera app back. I tried to re-install it, but since it's part of the OS you can't uninstall it.
