KeyzerSuze I noticed there is a backup option in settings. Does this backup the entire phone - all the user profiles as well ?
No. Just one profile at a time

No. The backup option (SeedVault) can be unreliable and doesn't usually work to completely restore from. The one time I tried it, it did not make a complete backup of the phone. It backed up my wallpaper, (some, but not all of) my apps, my phone preferences, material you color, etc. 20% of my apps weren't backed up at all, some didn't have any data restored. Photos did not back up. You might want to read through the SeedVault MegaThread and check out how I currently back up my phone
