Switching Phones with GrapheneOS. How?

Hi,

I'm just curious to know how one would backup the old settings and apps in GrapheneOS on a Pixel6 and restore them on another phone, let's say a Pixel7, with GrapheneOS.

Any ideas or suggestions?

This weekend I tried the backup functionality with the builtin Seedvault (with WebDAV integration), but had no luck. Backup failed several times.

I know I could use the USB method (did not try that, yet), but is there any other path that I could go.

I just moved from 4a to 6a and it went "ok" with seedvault and a flash drive.
It is definitely more efficient compared to building you profile from scratch but since a lot of apps do not support backups I had to do some manual configuring.

so the restore worked "ok" on your case, right?

Sorry about the late reply. Yes, using additionally the backup options of not supported apps I managed to switch phones rather quickly. I suggest you just go for it and try it (:
