GrapheneOS in China

I will be in China for a few years since I am studying here . I recently got a pixel 8 after a few months of staying here and installed GrapheneOS on it . I am having some major issues however:

I can't connect to PRC internet. I was trying to install an app from a Chinese app store on my secondary profile but It wasn't working cause it kept saying I'm disconnected. I tried logging into Alipay and WeChat on the secondary profile as well and they both didn't work because there was no internet connection despite me using WiFi and even slotting in my Chinese sim and trying to use data .
I have tried turning Internet connectivity check and private DNS off but I still can't connect to PRC traffic .
Is there any way to solve this ? Otherwise I'm forced to keep my other phone because I need to use Alipay and WeChat here as well as some other Chinese apps like Taobao and Meituan for daily life

QueenAdministrator Did Internet access work with the same SIM when the device was running Google's stock OS? If that works, maybe record the APN settings and try those with GrapheneOS.

Are you using a VPN on this secondary profile?

I only used it to install Alipay and WeChat from playstore. Otherwise no. Most Chinese apps will not work with a VPN on

Do you have Private DNS enabled in the owner profile settings?

Lion No , I made sure yo disable private DNS and internet connectivity check

de0u It was on a different phone but I'm also suspecting the APN might be the issue now . let me try

de0u Hey I finally managed to make it work! Whenever you add a VPN it automatically toggles the option to block all other connections not routed through the VPN . After I turned it off everything started working
