DohnJoe It is indeed a full Debian VM and it's ARM-based. x86 would only be possible by emulation and that's super slow, especially on Pixels. If I've understood correctly Termux uses emulation, which is not ideal for performance, but offers more flexibility.
You can easily run a VPN inside the VM. I've set up Wireguard for it to connect to my server when I'm away from home.
@cdflasdkesalkjfkdfkjsdajfd you can enable developer settings, install the Terminal app wherever you need it (including in profiles) and then disable them again. The terminal stays enabled.
