UK Banking App That Works On GOS But Doesn't Require Biometric Face Scan

Hi All I'm looking for a UK banking app that works on gos but doesn't require a biometric face scan at any point of signing up or logging in.

Reason I'm uncomfortable and don't feel i can trust them keeping this level of data safe or using it for something other then security.
I am happy to show id/documents or go into a branch.

Is this just the normal now and they all do it or are there some providers that don't?

So far I have found that the following seem to require video face scans:

I opened my account in the branch.

Also I never had to do it for HSBC (and had also amazing customer experience through a pretty weird issue I caused).

I think the safest bet would be a bank that has a high street presence (so you can set up your account in branch) and works without mobile app (i.e. you can do everything in the browser and log in with SMS or a debit card reader that generates a one-time code).
