Bonjour, Why is my VoWifi not stable? (often inactive).

A little bit more of information would be nice. I have absolutely no problems with VoWIFI, it's throughout active and reliable when I'm at home or connected to another qualified WIFI.

The wifi calls only turn on after the phone is turned on, as if VoWifi goes into standby mode once the screen is off.

Does this happen on all Wi-Fi networks, or just some? How about a public network (coffee shop, library)?

I only tested it at home, but it works very well with another Android phone, and also with a phone running Lineage.

fredelec That is useful information, but trying a different Wi-Fi network, especially a public network, would also be useful information.

I'm experiencing the same issue: sometimes WiFi calling stops working and it reconnects after a while when I unlock screen. It doesn't depend on which network I'm connected to.

I just had a call via VoWIFI which was interrupted 3 times after a few minutes in each case, 2 days ago I had a longer VoWIFI call without any problems.
I remenbered that I turned on "adaptive connectivity" for battery testing purposes yesterday, now I turned this off again, called the person back and had no interruption anymore.

Hello, after several tests, my VoWiFi doesn't work on public Wi-Fi, and on my neighbor's router, it's just as unstable as mine. Changing some settings doesn't make any difference.
