Agreed, but nevertheless, I encourage you to write in to your MP and explain what GrapheneOS is all about. Depending on who it is, they might be understanding towards the issue, not all MPs are the same.
You should also consider writing to the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore about the app verification changes, and play integrity API in general.
I've done all of the above but unfortunately or fortunately, a high volume of complaints usually results in something being changed and that includes this issue. If we don't take the initiative to communicate the issue to them, then there is really no chance of resolving the issue, complaining and sending our feedback at least gives us a small chance.
