ZIP file question

In the GrapheneOS Files app, when I select a zip file and open the 3-dot menu in the top right corner, the only option I get is to compress it — which makes no sense, since the file is already compressed. On stock Android, the same menu gives me a decompress option where I can choose the destination folder.
In GrapheneOS I can tap the zip file to open it and see its contents — for example, a list of PDF files. But if I want to read one of them, I have to decompress that file first before I can open it.
So if a zip contains 5 files, I have to hit decompress 5 separate times just to read all of them.
I'm wondering whether this is a bug in GrapheneOS or if I'm missing something ?

You can do all 5 files in 1 decompress. Just select multiple files and press Extract from the dot menu.

Some of the default apps are outdated, lacking featyres, and should be replaced. The default files app is useful for viewing folders that need higher permissions.

Consider getting a better app for gallery, files, calendar, and--if you want to integrate birthdays or export backups--a different contacts app. There's some suggestions on this site.

For files I've heard of fossify file manager and amaze. I like the former.

Thanks. I'd like to add that if this is a bug in GrapheneOS, maybe other apps pick up on that same bug too, because they also ask me if I want to compress a file that's already compressed.

Thanks, that works if the zip contains only files, but if it contains both files and folders then I have to do it twice — and GrapheneOS handles all of this itself.
I figure I can always find a workaround myself, but I wonder why GrapheneOS doesn't just do it the proper and simple way like stock Android, especially since it already has a built-in decompress function.
