Android Auto - Can't open apps

Hey everyone,

Sorry if I've missed a discussion or announcement or something relating to this!!

Over the last few weeks, I've noticed that I can't open any apps on AA other than google maps. Particularly Tempus, and Antennapod. When I do, it seems like AA crashes and my phone offers me a crash log, which I can attach if you would like.

The crash just looks like the AA screen goes dark, then turns back in the main apps view

First, I'd disable developer options. It can cause random issues with apps.
You can try clearing only the cache of android auto under settings > apps > see all apps
Outside of that, I'm afraid only any update to android auto or a dependency (google, gmscompat) will fix it.

Yeah its only been happening recently, so I'm almost certain its an upstream AA thing. I've tried clearing cache, reinstalling, etc. but to no avail.. Will try the developer option thing later though.
