Is Graphene OS a nuisance?

I currently got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, I'm thinking about getting a Pixel phone and install Graphene OS. I'm quite interested in data privacy (also gotta say, that ik a thing or two, but not quite a pro at this).
Although, my main concern is that I use apps like Whatsapp or Instagram and other google-related apps like Google Maps or Youtube.
Is using Graphene OS as a main phone a nuisance? Or with the sandbox function is doable? Is getting a google Pixel 6/6a (due to low-budget reasons) worth it with the upcoming end of support? or better wait and get a newer one?
I don't use my phone a lot, but I want data privacy, but not sure if it would be a huge bother, knowing that i'm not using my phone that much.

Kauron WhatsApp works much better for me than signal (which often delays notifications or even sending out the messages for hours), and before you decide to try it, maybe check the list of the (not) supported apps - if you must use one of those you're likely better off not switching fully.

Can't comment on Whatsapp but all Play Store apps I use work great. In your case I wouldn't setup two profiles and just install the Play Store in the main profile. (As I rarely use Play Store apps, it doesn't bother me to switch profiles, but I think this would be daunting if you often use google-related apps).

If budget allows I'd go with the 8 or 8a. This said I still prefer the 6 to 8a. In any case, it's a brilliant phone; won't ever use anything else now. Don't forget to donate if you can... :-)

I can't imagine using anything else after the short time I've been using it, and yes everyone should be encouraged to give what they can.

It's not a bother. I have not had a single App not work flawlessly out of install. Many people that have trouble have changed the settings to make them more aggressive. It has excelllent compatibility.

It is a lot more polished than iOS—once you install replacements for the system apps. I highly reccomened it.
