So if a have no previous texts from a person in the Messaging app, and they text me first, I get no notification and no text when I click on the Messaging app to look at texts.
Fiddling around I found texts from someone I have no existing text thread with and they texted me first and it went straight to archive with no notification. I replicated this by deleting an entire thread of texts with my GF and asked her to text me. Goes straight to archive with no notification. If I then unarchive that text it goes to the main messaging thread and is fine. I can send a first ever text to someone and they respond just fine since I started the texting in main messaging.
So the prob is if someone I have never texted sends me a first text (or if we have texted before but I deleted our previous entire message thread so no texts with them in main Messaging app) it goes straight to archive with no notification, so I do not know I have received those texts that are now sitting in archive,
Anybody have this issue and any known fix? I have tried all fixes to no avail for "not receiving texts" for GrapheneOS in a search of this forum and Google and none of them help this problem. None of them address first received texts going straight to archive with no notification and how to fix that. Thanks!
