I agree, hence why i said it should hold "significant weight" when considering disabling it, i did not say one should not disable it, so your inferred accusation is invalid.

Exactly my point, i assume these " select cases" exist where they, seasoned developers of a hardened security focused os have obviously carefully weighted up the risks in doing so and determined it is warrented.. precisely what i am suggesting the op do.

You may be right but you are making an assumption about the op threat model that is not yours to make so if you were acting responsibly you would at the least try to determine there threat model before making such a recommendation

Yes many people here feel forced to choose between security and privacy or easy access to there finances that is a terrible choice to have forced on them and certainly not a justification for casually flipping the toggle for anything.
