JacksWendel I am worried if i install spotify or whatsapp which is owned by facebook and does devinitely include trackers according to exodus-privacy website, and has tons of disturbing permissions. I'm worried if i install this and delete it afterwards, could there be leftover code/data from those apps that isn't removed by uninstalling the app?
Could the leftovers of such a spy app continue to spy after the app has been removed?
I take it granted, uninstalling a spy app that makes their most earnings from spying have a reason to continue spying even after the user "uninstalled" their legal malware. The real question is if grapheneos protects against left-over spying after removing an app.
The sensible thing to do would be to not use a companies products if they consider such behaviour acceptable.
While the private space will appear as essentially a different device to them, and uninstalling it will remove it, it is at best unclear what identifiers they will have pulled from your device and whether those identifiers can or will be used to correlate you and your behaviour across there controlled domains.
It sounds like you first need to take the time to consider exactly what it is that you are trying to avoid, before you start trying to implement a strategy to avoid it.
