Failed attempt to install GrapheneOS on a Pixel 10 Pro using a Samsung S11 Ultra. How do I switch back to a stable version of Android—or better yet, to GrapheneOS?
Hi,
Since my Windows 10 PC is pretty old, I tried to install GrapheneOS on my Pixel 10 Pro using my Samsung S11 Ultra.
Everything went smoothly with the web installer up until the “Obtaining factory images” step.
The download failed the first time. It worked the second time, but something probably went wrong during “Flashing factory images.”
I clicked the button in the Chrome browser and then confirmed the process on the phone using the power/start button when the message appeared.
Was that a huge mistake?
After a short while, my Pixel 10 Pro booted to Android, and a window or app for setting up the phone opened on the S11 Ultra tablet. I closed the app on the tablet, but the flashing process seemed to have been interrupted.
Now, when I start up, I get a message saying that my bootloader is unlocked, and the developer option “OEM Unlocking” is grayed out and disabled.
Another attempt to install GrapheneOS resulted in a “Your device is corrupt...” message.
Now, my Pixel 10 Pro boots to Android, but I can’t get GrapheneOS onto the phone, nor can I get rid of the bootloader message or make the OEM Unlocking feature clickable/enable again.
How can I properly reset my phone or, better yet, get GrapheneOS running on the Pixel 10 Pro? Can I use my Samsung S11 Ultra for this, or would I be better off using a new Windows PC?
What is the best way to proceed?
This is my first time trying this, so I’d like to thank you in advance for any help. Right now, I can’t move forward (to GrapheneOS) or go back to a "stable" Android (without those messages and grayed out options).
Merci.
