Developer-Dude Just wondering if there are (open source) SMS apps that let you add a reaction to a message other than Google Messages? I haven't been able to find anything.
Johnnyloans Developer-Dude This is a limitation in SMS. The best you can get is receiving this as a separate text: nandohyphen1 ❤ to "hey guys see you soon!"
Developer-Dude Johnnyloans yep, I get that all the time. For example, if an iPhone or Google Messages user reacts to a message with a 👍🏻, then I just get a text that says 'Billy liked a message'.
taxonomy A few months ago QUIK was trying to add this functionality. They still may be. It sounded like if it does end up working it'll be limited. It was (is?) under discussion on their github and Matrix chat.
