Limit "Review app with fill device access" notification frequency

I get that "full device access" is a lot.

But I also use an automation app that genuinely needs that, otherwise it can't do most of the things I require it to do.

But reminding me EVERY SINGLE DAY about the app I installed months ago, use everyday, about the app I "reviewed" perhaps 30 times by now by tapping that infuriating notification is a tad much.

This notification of course cannot be modified. This notification is of course in the category (Other > permission reminders) that cannot be modified or silenced.

This application (Permission controller) cannot have notifications access revoked (Settings > Notifications > App notifications > Show system), can't even be stopped.

I get that it's an important app and should be running, but come on, 365 times asked to review an app I reviewed dozens of times? This is also relatively new issue; I don't recall it being such a PITA a year or so ago.

I'd appreciate an advice before I try pm revoke com.android.permissioncontroller android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS.

make a difference?

Novaliss No, but there's a light in the tunnel -- I took App usage data and Allow background usage away, and it just crashed. Beautiful. Hope it stays that way - I'd rather have a dead permissions controller I'd have to see once a week than a menace harassing me every day.

What a prime example of the noble idea of protection taken to such an extent it becomes a torture because of how overbearing it is :)

Kind of annoying it'll keep reminding me as if it's as dangerous as low oil pressure in a machine.

The notification category is security which would disable all of that. I think it's toggle-able.

I'm using an automation app to clear them. There are dedicated apps for this as well. Still would be better to disable them at system level. Ideally a warning would be shown once and you should have an option to either revoke the permission or to give the app a clearance and don't be spammed again. Right now only the former is possible.

Byku well, I wouldn't like to disable them all. I think this notification is useful. Once, until I open the app and review. Then maybe once more a week later. And then maybe 6 months later.

But not the every day. Madness.

This is damaging to security as people do what we do. Anything we can to silence the app that has important role, because it's crazy.

I think the high frequency is not expected. You should file an issue report.

Upstate1618 To whom? Google? This is an AOSP feature. Graphene devs are very picky on modifying AOSP code since it needs to be ported every time afterward.
