Hi all, apologies if this is elementary - not sure I quite have the language right to couch this so thought i would post the question:
My reading of the situation with profiles and pushing different apps into each is:
In a profile where Play/G. Services is installed (such as for banking stuff) information on which other apps that also rely on (and therefore interact with) Play/Services will be reported back to base. Also - more general information such as uptime, network details etc will be included while Play/Services is running. Any apps in this profile that don't require Play/Services will not be leaking info back to base.
So, to my mind and for my use it makes sense to have a daily driver profile which is Play/Services-free and a second one for any app which requires Play/Services to operate and I want to use. I'm not sure I grasp the need to keep banking and other apps separated in different profiles - other than compartmentalising the information which is leaked.... is this a much more advanced use case for those who are much more privacy-oriented?
I am probably missing something basic - if you're able to point me to where I need to go most appreciated.
