Weird smoothing on front camera that can't be disabled?

Hello! I just recently started using GrapheneOS on a Pixel 6a, and noticed that when using the camera in any app (default camera app, Discord, etc.) that there is a strange smoothing effect that looks like AI applied that cannot be disabled, but only on the front/selfie camera. My friend also uses GOS on a Pixel 6 and doesn't have this issue. We have both looked in our respective camera settings and have found nothing mentioning any filters or effects.

If anyone knows how to turn it off and why it's there for me but not my friend that would be super!

Clean the front camera? Have you had the screen replaced?

This sounds like you are experiencing a hardware issue.

But there is still stuff you could try:

reboot
reset
completely reinstall GOS

legreteco How would I go about a reset? I've rebooted but that didn't seem to help.

paladwarf settings -> system -> options for resetting.

But I think you could just jump to reinstalling GrapheneOS right away. Doesn't really make a difference in terms of you having to set up your phone again
