Vanadium shaking/vibrating

So I've been having this weird issue with Vanadium where it'll randomly start kind of vibrating when I'm scrolling, like it gets stuck or something. I wish I could give a reproducible description, but it basically amounts to "open a page and try to scroll". It happens quite often. At first, I thought I could be inadvertently touching the screen with the holding hand, but I've payed extra attention to that and I'm sure that's not part of it. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, if you mean quickly alternating between two scrolling states, like the previous and current ones.

Not sure what you mean by scrolling states, but it just looks like the web page is vibrating vertically instead of scrolling.

Clean your screen with minimal rubbing alcohol or water.

and does this happen on every site? even duckduckgo, google, etc?

It could be the site you're experiencing this on is a bit funky.

You can test your touch screen by temporarily turning on developer options and turn on 'show taps' within it. See if phantom taps show up.

Johnnyloans yeah, screen is clean and while I can't say it has happened on every site, I'd say it has happened with enough sites that I would expect it could happen just about anywhere.

frankee screen protector mode is off and I'm not using a screen protector.

Ignorant_Cormorant You mean like some sort of menu that closes when you scroll away? Can't be certain, but I think that wouldn't present like this.

Do you have screen protector mode enabled? I had the same issue and it stopped after turning that off.

frankee I had to completely remove my screen protector. Even with te mode on, I would still experience weird bugs with my touchscreen. I never had that problem again after removing it.

Of course, this is due to the browser trying to hide some dynamic content on the page when it is swiped off the screen space, and when the available viewport increases, the browser decides to re-display that content and gets stuck in a loop.

It depends on the content of the page. When I browse news sites with bells and whistles it happens very often.

Similarly to, but to a lesser extent than, the Bluesky app, which jitters all the time while scrolling.

Ignorant_Cormorant hm, yeah, I've been paying more attention to it, and looks like it's just more pages doing these kinds of things than I imagined, and often in less obvious ways like just adding a slight drop shadow to something. There might also be an issue with pages that have scrollable elements inside a page that itself scrolls.
