Up until somewhen end of last year, the photo-geo-location was properly uploaded via the PiwigoNG-Photo-App and stored in the Piwigo-Gallery.
My setup is as follows: Pixel 8, GOS, no playservices, PiwigoNG, GOS-Cameraapp. Location is properly recorded with the pictures. Regular upload to Nextcloud works fine with all geo-location information.
If I upload directly into my gallery with the PiwigoNG App (2.4.2) it used to work as well - all geo-locations are uploaded and the app reported "Upload OK" (if I'm not mistaken its a md5-check on the files).
Somewhen later last year, something changed - and the geo-location is no longer available in the uploaded photos.
Although PiwigoNG reports "error uploading", the pictures itself are uploaded fine, just without the geo-location. Within the gallery app on GOS the location is shown correctly.
PiwigoNG has not changed, but there were several GOS updates in that timeframe.
PiwigoNG had and has no location permission - is my understanding correct, that PiwigoNG needs the location permission to get the pictures including the geo-location meta-data? E.g., that GOS / GalleryApp (as file picker) changes the metadata on the fly not to reveal geo-location to non-geo-location-permission-apps?
Just to know where to file a "feature request". :)
