SIP app doesn't "wake up" on incoming call

My SIP app VoIP.ms doesn't wake up (doesn't ring) when I get calls. As soon the caller hangs up I get a notification that I missed a call. I tried all possible power settings without luck. I'm open to other apps if anyone has a working configuration. I'm using a Pixel 10a with the latest GrapheneOS, and use a data only eSIM card. Thanks for any help.

This app requires PlayServices according to Aurora. Do you have them installed and does it have network permission?

Sadly there are close to no sip apps that work reliably on a degoogled profile.

It has Network and Notifications permission, App battery usage is set to "unrestricted"; Background data is on ,... I was hoping to get rid of the $40/month phone bill with a data only plan ($2.45/GB) and a SIP number on my Graphene phone.

I have a VoipMS account too, and it works ok. I have installed Linphone app on my main profile and setup voipms as SIP in Linphone. No google play services installed.

The scenario you mentioned happened to me before when the SIP url was not correct, i was using a server from another city on the app while on VoipMS web dashboard I had set as server another location. Worth double checking the voipMS web dashboard, especially if you have configured sub-accounts also
