Google Translate does not synchronize smoothly (on my phone)

Hello, thank you all for Grapheneos. I am a new happy user since a few weeks!

The first time I ran Google Translate (outside/not on WiFi), after of course being logged in, I thought Google Translate was more or less hanging. It kept on showing a loading icon.

Right now it is even worse. Only the saved translations from the last few days are accessible.
This, while there should be a few thousand.

Searching the internet, I only bump into problems with audio or pictures. My topic concerns the simple translations which I gave a star so that it should appear in the "star" list.

If I tick the star in the translation modus, only the translations of the last few days are there. If I go to my profile and tick "Saved transcripts", there is only a message "Save transcripts Tap the star ..."

Is this something that comes with the advantages of privacy? I noticed that Google Maps takes long for "Finding best route ...".

Google Translate is installed within my Google profile with network access. And with Google play services activated. Also maps and gmail are successfully running on this profile.

Google Translate worked on my (previous i)phone.
If I log into google online, all the translations are still there.

Thanks Novalissoide. If my goal was just translation, offline-translator would be handy indeed.
But for me, the "save for selection" option, makes it the perfect language learning tool.
My list is for almost 100% full of words (or combinations of words) I don't know. Otherwise, I would throw the translation out of the list.
Not only this functionality, but also access to the current list is very worthful for me.

Not inteded as a bumb.
While I like the functionality. The app Google Translate is just not great for working with lists. On Android sorting can be done based on date and name, but you cannot reverse (ascending <-> descending).
On iOS this ordering is possible, (with an option for ascending and descending). But the order is messsed up, once the list is refreshed (after removing a star). Tapping the refresh button 2 times did work for me to keep the original order of the list.
Anyways, while the app just sucks. Remove it from your phone and use a (dedicated) browser (for only) Google Translate (logged in).
No updates further from my end in the future.

I just re-installed the Google Translate app just to see how far it matches the examples from above.
After a re-install my whole list is loaded again (7000 translations).
But another bad thing an Android for the app. The scroll bar does not work. I can not press the scroll button so that it would function as a slider. This is something that works perfect on iOS. But again, I think a better stick with Google Translate through a browser.

Tap the white 'arrow out of a bucket'-icon top left on that page, wait a couple of seconds. Your Files app starts and lets you tap e.g. a picture, and the 'copy adress'-icon appears, tap it. Paste in this thread. This is the simplest way I know to post images in the forum.

Yes unfortunately, this is a nice feature in iOS but not android.

You can choose to save a translation by marking it.
I think, while we appreciate privacy, it should not be needed to copy personal details to the internet, just for an example.
These examples are made logged out. Hope this makes clear.
