Pixel 8a not booting anymore

Hi everyone,

Early this morning, my pixel 8a installed an update to the OS and successfully restarted.

As it was "finishing the update" I changed from my default profile to another user profile and the phone screen went blank.

Since then the phone has not turned back on. I am not sure what the issue is.

What I have tried so far are resetting by Holding the power button for 60s, and also trying to reset by holding Vol. Down and Power button for 30s. none of them have worked.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue before?

Does the power button make a clicking noise when you press it. Does the power button feel similar to the volume buttons when you press them? (On my phone it is similar but slightly different)

Did the battery die or get to 30% or lower? Charge the phone with a USB cable or wireless charging. Does the screen turn on when charging or ever?

If it is difficult to get the phone to charge with a USB cable, then fidget with it for a bit to get it charging.

Dies the phone ever vibrate or make sound like you got a message?

The clicking noise on the volume buttons sounds louder than the power button, but otherwise I do not feel any difference.
I have tried to connect the phone to different USB-C cables, at different locations and also using different power adapters/laptop USB Port.
The screen continues to be black and does not show if it is charging or not. I expected that if it was charging, it would vibrate to indicate start of charging, but unfortunately it does not vibrate

Yes, sorry. It looks to be a hardware issue.
It could be possible the screen is black but the phone is still on and otherwise functioning. (Likely touch would work in this scenario unless the phone has been heavily damaged to break both at once)

My phone vibrates or plays a sound when i charge it. That is a setting though, probably defaulted to on?

Sorry dude, there's nothing you can do and it's probably long gone. A skilled electrical engineer could maybe get it running again if you had data on it worth hundreds of dollars. (USA regional pricing). Hopefull you have backups, sorry dude. :(

I think the phone is unable to turn on or run.

Oh man, that sucks. I do have back-ups of my photos, which are the main and important stuff on the phone.
But now a days just to do any form of financial transactions, you need the phone and that might cause more issues, I feel.
