Hi everyone,
I’m having a serious battery issue on my Pixel Tablet running GrapheneOS and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s going on.
I’m only getting around 2–3 hours of battery life with light usage like browsing and reading. That already seems far too low, but the more confusing part is what happens after I remove the tablet from the speaker dock.
As soon as I undock it, the battery starts draining very quickly and the battery usage section in Settings becomes completely blank. There is no history, no apps listed, nothing at all, as if the system isn’t recording any usage. This makes it impossible to tell what is actually consuming the battery.
While the tablet is docked, everything seems normal. The issue consistently appears after undocking. It feels like something breaks in the system when transitioning from docked to portable mode.
I’ve already tried restarting the device and checking the usual settings, but the problem persists. Because there is real battery drain but no recorded stats, this doesn’t seem like a normal app-related issue. It feels more like something at the system level is failing, possibly related to battery stats or the dock behavior.
I’m wondering if this could be a known issue with the Pixel Tablet dock, or if something in GrapheneOS could cause battery usage tracking to stop working after undocking. If anyone has seen similar behavior or knows what could cause battery stats to go completely blank, I would really appreciate any guidance.
I can provide more details if needed. Thanks.
