I delete signal occasionally and need to re-download it. The last time I did this, I was not able to receive my verification SMS from Signal. After trying and failing for several days, I was eventually spontaneously prompted with a notification that Signal was failing to send my SMS due to my permissions settings, which brought me to a window where I was able to fix this immediately!
I have since deleted and re-installed Signal again, and am having the same issue. I have not received this spontaneous notification again, and have searched every app permission for Signal and Messages to no avail trying to solve my issue. Any suggestions for how I might fix this?
(There was previously one person who asked this question and they received answers about Signal discontinuing SMS support. This is not the issue I am referring to, I am trying and failing to receive a verification SMS from Signal, not trying to receive SMSs within the Signal app)
