I am new to GraphenOS, using a Google Pixel 9a - coming from an iPhone :-D
About cross-user notifications
I did create one user profile with Play Store and one without.
In the Play Store profile, I installed all the messaging App that I could not install from APK files:
TikTok
Instagram
Facebook Messenger
In the other profile, I installed those, using Obtainium:
Signal
Telegram
I enabled notification sharing to the logged in user, so that I would get notified in either profile about any new message.
But that does not work.
I either don't get notifications from the other profile or even not from an App in the same profile.
I understood from the Usage documentation, that I need to enable optimised background activity for those messaging Apps, which I did.
Of course, I also allowed Notifications from those Apps.
I did notice that after starting Signal once, I get a silent notification about "Background connection enabled" - that seems to be a good thing, or? Or would that not be required and expected? In this case, Signal will also be shown as "active app".
But why don't I get this for any of the other Apps? Could that explain why I am missing notifications?
In the PlayStore profile, I can see "GmsCompat" as "active app", which should be required to send notifications to the other profile, or? Anyways, I cannot find a setting for this anymore and cannot even remember how I installed this - seeking for "gsm" in the settings or in the Usage documentation does not reveal anything!
In summary, I have no real idea how to get notified correctly, for and from all user profiles.
Could you please give me some hints?
P.S. I have no idea what "Bubbles" could be and whether I should enable them.
