Top Music Services (Except YT) for GOS with PWA & Local Storage?

First off, a big thank you to the GOS dev team!! I migrated my P9P back in December, dispersed my personal G data to multiple baskets, and never looked back!

I did try searching this forum initially, but didn't find alternatives for a comparable (paid) streaming music service (to YTM) that will allow me to:

1) Download unlimited (or nearly) content for offline use

2) Solid PWA UI (unless there is a solid FOSS app?)

3). Comparable music collection to YTM, AM or S

At this point, I'm down to AM and AMZM from my research, but I cannot get AMZM web player to launch within Vanadium or Brave without triggering this error:

ANY suggestions or recommendations are appreciated.

Could you please expand those acronyms YT, YTM, AM, S, AMZM? Not only would it be easier to understand for us fellow humans, but it would also make it easier to find this post with the forum's search function on a relevant term.

My issue at this point is that I have an "unlimited" Amazon Music trial account but cannot use either Brave nor Vanadium for the PWA (Progressive Web App) that Amazon Music supports. Upon launching with either (updated) browsers I get an error message "Update Chrome. We have upgraded and this browser version is no longer supported. Please update your browser."

I am trying to avoid installing apps where PWA's are available but this is the first time I've seen this message.

For others who find this thread, further research led me to discover that Amazon Music's web interface is NOT a true (installable) PWA at this point and requires a supported browser (while Brave is mentioned on some lists, I cannot get past the error messages described above). Hopefully Amazon will someday publish an installable PWA that supports DRM protection required for local/offline music support (not holding my breath).

So I decided to install the Amazon Music client (from the Play Store) but then disabled PS and Play Svcs. The app obviously needs "network" (for streaming), "nearby devices" (for BT connections) and "music and audio" (for offline storage/playback) permissions, but the app does NOT need Google svcs running (and no API integrity checks either).

Maybe not "obviously".

Nearby devices is not required if you just want to route audio to a BT device. I would suggest denying this permission and see if the features you actually use still work.

It shouldn't need any permissions to play music it downloaded itself. If you want it to play other local music (if that is even a feature), you can use storage scopes to limit it to what you want - instead of letting it see every audio file in shared storage.

"Obviously" was referring to a network connection that is required if the content is elsewhere. But I agree that BT and storage access may not be required. Do you use the Amazon Music app? It spits out warnings of degraded functionality without those two permissions. I am still trying to test what is lost without them.

Run with minimal permissions is the whole point...

I recommend monochrome[1] if you want streaming, although I prefer Poweramp[2] because I prefer local playback and it is insanely featured and clean. I made a post[3] recently explaining my workflow.
