High Power consumption - how to debug that?

My Pixel has a higher than expected power consumption. It is difficult at day with all the apps, so I thought lets check it at night first.
Over night it is in flight mode - battery goes down 62->55% (7%) in just 9h. Did a screenshot at around 11pm and than 8am.
Looking at just this day (so I assume this is 0...8am) it shows:

1min Screentime (expected)
filtered for apps:
50% Google PlayServices (1:20 background), all other <1%
filtered for systems:
Display (1min) 84%

At daylight often the cam (GCAM) seems to be a real burner.
PlayServices just get permission for network, GCAM for Foto, Kam, Mic, Sensors - no net.
What can cause this - does they go wild because of missing permissions?

Additional comment:
Obviously I installed GPlayServices. It comes (as dependency) with PlayStore. Don't use it and deinstalled it afterwards - use Aurora in MainProfile/Owner. I understand that Store comes with Playservice, but I didn't get why Store will be installed together with Services. Might this be a reason?

Any setting in GPlayServices might cause that heavy drain?

Can really 1:20h in background can take around 6% power. I guess around 1% is normal for overnight? Any experiences on what to be expected? Thank you!

I have also been facing major battery drain on my Pixel 9 Pro XL for a while now. Since I have tried almost everything to fix it within my system configuration with no result, I also assume this might be related to the #7416 modem issue.
I'm considering flashing the stock OS until this issue is resolved.

You mention SoT. Does it deal with display or is it just your measurement unit? As the dray happens even with no Screen on at all.

Mh, yes I have seen that bug report, have to check how to get a Perfetto trace - never heard about it.

I have issues with my battery on my Pixel 9 pro and its been happening for months now. I can barely squeeze out 4hrs of SoT. Is this a known bug with GOS or just the phone itself?

A pixel update Immediately after the december aosp release we are running.

Hopefully google pushes another release to aosp sooner rather than later. June to November?

starbright I seemed to have fixed it. My battery got significantly better turning off smooth display off (120hz) which is extremely disappointing considering I specifically paid extra for the pro model just to have this feature

It is a software issue. The phone is being told to be too active and use up power.

Google decided last year to make fewer releases to AOSP. About every 6 months they send their code to AOSP. We are on the december update (we have some new drivers from further updates)

Most likely won't help. Worth a shot--quick experminent.

I set LTE as preferred network (not 5G) and disabled smooth display. It seem power consumption is less.
But overnight in FlightMode it is still around 0.5%/h. Looking at the consumption (filtered for systems) - it is the System(Audio) with 100%
Audio??? Don't get it.

starbright the Systems column option is often just confusing users. The 'view by apps' may be rather useful, and often makes more sense.

Seems all apps together are 100% and system apps are a part of it (let's assume 20%).
Than 50% of the "system filtered" would be 10% in total, right?

To bad is that the Battery Usage scale is just 25% wise. So it is impossible to read whether in a 2h section was used 3% or 8% of battery.

It says how much system apps used at the bottom of "view by apps".

So, there are 2 menus: view by apps and view system usage. Each menu adds up to 100%. 200% total.

The percentages of both cannot be compared because it is relative to how much battery that section used.

For example, view by apps used 8% battery & " view by systems" used 3% battery. 50% of each is a different number, 4 & 1.5

We do not know much each menu used, we can only guess that the total usage was about 5% based on the graph. Apps used some, systems used some and it added up to 5%.
