SIM no service

I am new to GrapheneOS, I have been using it without connection issues.
My phone recently went out of charge and after charging it and turning it on my SIM card hasn’t been able to connect.
I know the Issue is not my SIM because I swapped it with my friend and my SIM card in his phone had service, while his SIM in my phone had no service.
It looks like the phone it self has issues reading SIM card.
How can this problem be fixed?

Try this:
settings > system > reset options > reset mobile

This can probably be fixed in software.

Below 20% battery will shorten its life span a little.
0% battery does quite a bit or a lot. And can cause software issues like this.

I worry this could be a hardware failure, do you still have warranty?

If your friends SIM didn't work either, it looks like the sim tray electronics are faulty. If that is the case, you yourself can't do anything to repair this, so if you still have warranty, I would flash stock OS again, try if the SIM is still not working and if so, open a warranty case with Google.
