Ziya Hello, not sure if this is a concern, just looking for clarification. Why is firebase present in vanadium? Does it ring google?
Johnnyloans Ziya Likely for installing PWAs that want to register with FCM to receive notifications. For those wanting to use a website instead of an app for more privacy. Note: you can have a PWA & deny notifications
Byku Vanadium connects to firebaseinstallations.googleapis.com and firebase.googleapis.com. Isn't there suppose to be no connections to Google in GOS? These connections are typical for fcm so I doubt it was from a site (?). Or can the site make those calls to? I'm not using notifications from sites btw.
de0u Byku Isn't there suppose to be no connections to Google in GOS? That is not a rule. https://grapheneos.org/faq#default-connections https://grapheneos.org/faq#other-connections
Novalissoide Byku Vanadium connects to firebaseinstallations.googleapis.com and firebase.googleapis.com It don't just do this out of the blue. An app, a site.
