question re play services and work profile

If I havnt installed play services in my main profile, but install it in my work profile, will this effect my main profile for things like push notification services?

I really do not what to use play services, but feel I have to as my whatsapp messages do not arrive until I open the app... (Yes I have set battery usage to unrestricted and other settings, still delays)

What are the actual privacy leaks with using google play services? And does this installation of play services effect all push notifications eg will it automatically cause WhatsApp to use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to make messages arrive instantly?

There were claims that as per design of Work profile by Google/AOSP, Play services are partially visible across regular/work. Search the forum. I think in that post the recommendation was to enable it in both, but I don't recall complete landscape and if it's of outdated.

Are you using Shelter or alike?

Depends on what apps you have. Only whatsapp, google will know the time that you got a message from an unknown person and google won't know the contents of the message.

As I said on your other comment: Install google play services > uninstall whatsapp > reinstall whatsapp

backup the messages? i think it's synced across all devices? i don't use whatsapp

Probably no for your notification situation. You can test it out real quick and see if you get notifications.
