HOLUNG
Hello! thank you for the all of the info, it helps a lot.
It is very strange that a Wifi Whatsapp call doesn't work fully. This seems like an entirely separate issue unless you were using cell data at the time.
We might pinpoint the issue from logs
Give me the logs from:
Settings > apps > all apps > top right 3 dots > show system > Sim Manager > View logs
Settings > apps > all apps > top right 3 dots > show system > Sim toolkit > View logs
(These specific logs might have personal info about your cell carrier. Comb through it yourself or trust it with me via email if you wish)
For the logs, there are 3 options:
Steps to try
- Do you have 1 or 2 SIMs active at the same time? 3 or more active at once is an issue.
- Are all 3 SIMs for the same carrier? Contact them about your service issues possibly. See if there's any issues with your account or IMEI number, is it blocked/disabled?
- A common electronics issue is: Something is shown as on or enabled but it doesn't work. You have to toggle the option off then on. Or delete then add it back. Practice this with a few settings you can think of. disable all SIMs then enable. You'll want "esim support" enabled.
Settings > system > developer options > very top is a toggle to turn it off (If you don't see developer options, good)
- Phone call app:
- dial
*#06# - this should say long IMEI numbers. Not null or anything weird
- dial
*#*#4636#*#* - Check any weird settings in here. Try turning radio off then on
- Turn your phone completely off
- Remove the SIM card. Clean the gold colored contacts with a Q-tip or cotton swab. Place a tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol on the cotton. (or use a clean microfiber cloth). Your finger or cloth is risky. Gentle rubbing with a pencil eraser works.
- Sideload the latest OTA version for your phone ( info: https://grapheneos.org/usage#updates-sideloading )
- You could try deleting your esims and remove the physical SIM. Reboot with zero SIMs.
- Reset mobile settings, Shut off the phone, add the physical sim, test only your physical SIM
- re-add your esims 1 at a time (You'll have to request a new esim from your carrier. This might be automated on their website/app)
- Try flashing stockOS before you delete your esims? (They stay when you flash another OS) (backup your data. it gets deleted)
- Clear cache & storage of SIM utils
(I am not aware of the ramifications of this. If it causes permanent issues with SIMs until you do a factory reset. Probably not. Skip this part if you want. Your SIMs don't work already though so...)
Settings > apps > all apps > 3 dots top right > show system
- Search "sim"
- Tap on "sim toolkit" app > clear cache & clear storage > go back to the list of apps
- Tap on "sim manager" app > clear cache & clear storage
